NEW AAIT BOARD OF DIRECTORS, 2009-2010

Greetings AAIT Members:

Just a quick message to announce and introduce the 2009 Board of Directors, which was constituted Friday, March 13 th , at the Annual Banquet. Our new Board has some comfortingly familiar faces, but we're excited to introduce some new (or “old-new”) faces as well!

1) Our Chairwoman is still SANDRA BRAVO, and our President is still the indefatigable ROSA BURKARD.

2) Our Vice President and chair of the Accreditation Committee is still CECILIA SANTAMARINA.

3) Our Treasurer is still GABRIEL RUEDA.

4) As for our Secretary, we have a recycled one from 2002 … me! :-) JORGE LUCERO, after 7 long years of dedicated service to the Association as its Secretary and almost as many years as its Membership Director, has passed the post of Secretary (back) to me. I know I speak for everyone in the Association in expressing gratitude and appreciation for the countless hours of hard work and effort he has put forth to make the AAIT a better organization. Thank you, Jorge!!! Jorge will continue on as our Membership Director.

5) Our Education Committee is still chaired by PHYLLIS STALLMAN, with ELENA GOLDIS now lending a helping hand, as this Committee always has a ton to do. Elena, as some of you may recall, served on the Board a few years ago. Welcome back, Elena!

6) Our Website Committee is now chaired by MAURICIO MEDINA, a brand new Director who now faces the daunting yet never-boring task of bringing our Web site into the 21st century! Welcome, Mauricio, and may the Force be with you! ;-)

7) Our PR Committee is still chaired by ADRIAN BERNAL.

Best regards,

Mary C. Maloof-Fleck

Secretary, AAIT

  TREASURER'S REPORT 2008

Our Treasurer has submitted his report for 2008, and happily, our coffers are in good shape. In accordance with the Treasurer's findings, membership dues continue to be a vital part of our income as an Association, but nearly 75% of our income and nearly 75% of our expenses/outflow are derived from the Annual Conference and networking events. This just goes to show you that one of the best ways of showing your support for your Association is to attend AAIT events!! To download the Report, click here .
